Abstract

No person shall keep in captivity any live prohibited animal, protected animal or exotic animal without a licence issued in accordance with these Regulations (reg. 2). The Permanent Secretary may issue a licence in the form set out in the Schedule empowering the holder of such licence to keep in captivity any live prohibited animal, protected animal or exotic animal. A licence shall be valid for one year (reg. 3). If the applicant, in the opinion of the Permanent Secretary, cannot or will not make adequate provision for the health of an animal, a licence may be refused (reg. 4). Regulation 6 provides for the transfer of live animals. (8 regulations and a Schedule)
