Abstract

For the purposes of section 4 of the Whale Fisheries Act, 1937, the length of whales of each kind mentioned in the second column of the Schedule to these Regulations shall be the length set out in the first column of the said Schedule opposite to such mention in the said second column. The length of any whale measured for the purpose of ascertaining whether such whale is or is not immature within the meaning of section 4 of the Act, 1937, shall be measured along a horizontal line and shall be the distance on such line between the tip of the upper jaw and the notch between the flukes of the tail.
