Abstract

This chapter of the Vermont Statutes concerns wetlands protection and water resources management. It declares to be the policy of the State that the water resources of the State shall be protected, regulated and, where necessary, controlled under authority of the State in the public interest and to promote the general welfare. It also creates the Department of Environmental Conservation which is to be administered by a Commissioner of Environmental Conservation. The chapter provides for classification of wetlands.
