Abstract

Some minor text amendments and substitutions are made to the West Bengal Marine Fishing Regulation Rules, 1998. In rule 1 several notes have been added and after sub-rule 12 a new subrule has been inserted dealing with appliances and equipment which all seagoing vessels shall have on board. In rule 5, clause (a) of sub-rule 1 shall be substituted. This clause divides the territorial waters of the State in two fishing zones in order to regulate fishing. Schedule II and III shall be substituted with new Schedules.
