Abstract

The Act empowers the State government to impose water rate on the occupiers of the lands that are supplied water for irrigation by the Damodar Valley Corporation. The Act also lays down the amount of the water rates to be levied and provides exemptions for payment of the water rate. Additionally, the Act provides for penalties for violating the provisions of the Act.
