Abstract

These Regulations concern well drilling, in particular the conditions for the issuance of well drilling licences, marking of machinery, the protection of water resources, avoiding surface waters to enter wells, pipe standards, flowing wells, pumps and their use and the maintenance of wells. The Regulations also provide for the designation of water control areas in order to protect the quality of groundwater resources and prohibits waste disposal in wells.
