Abstract

The Welfare Improvement Strategy is a national cross-sectoral strategy of Uzbekistan for the period 2008-2010. Its main objective is improving living standards based on robust and inclusive economic growth, forming a modern and diversified economy able to compete in world markets, the comprehensive development of the whole country, a fair distribution of income as well as further development and significant improvement in the quality of services in education, health, and other socially significant sectors.
