The present Regulations enact the Weed Control Act. The Regulations lay down provisions relating to the control of noxious weed. In particular, section 1 establishes that each of the plants indicated in Schedule A is hereby designated as a noxious weed. Furthermore, no person shall transport, farm, produce or any other material containing noxious weeds or weed seeds except in a manner that prevents the escape of the weed seeds. The text – consisting of 9 sections – deals with the following aspects: definition, inspection, destruction, facilities for storage and cleaning and offence. Two Schedules are enclosed.
