The present Law enters into force on 1 January 1980.
Abstract

The present Law regulates waterworks, the maintenance of waters and the use of waters by plants and buildings. The Law is applicable to public and private surface waters unless they refer specifically only to one or the other water category. The text consists of 75 articles divided into 9 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Waterworks and maintenance of waters (II); Use of waters by buildings and plants (III); Omissis (IV); Right of seizure, waterworks police, penalties and legal protection (V); Transitional provisions (VI); Omissis (VII); Repeal (VIII).
