Abstract

This Chapter of the Ohio Revised Code concerns watershed districts. Among others, it provides for creation of watershed district; organizational meeting to establish district; naming district - board of directors; budget; organization of board - meetings; secretary-treasurer - bond; power and authority of board; orderly development and beneficial use of the water resources; notification of board of work that may affect public water supply; designation of restricted channels; filing designation of restricted channel with county engineer; written consent required to affect restricted channel or floodway; dissolution of watershed district; contents of petition to dissolve district; board of election duties; distributing the assets following dissolution; injunction; and penalty.
