The present Law enters into force on 1 January 2000.
Abstract

The purpose of the present Law is to regulate the use of water. The Canton shall be entrusted with the use of public water. Article 1 establishes that groundwater and surface waters are to be considered as public waters. Article 4 lays down provisions relating to authorizations and concessions for all waterworks. The text consists of 35 articles divided into 5 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Concessions and authorizations (II); Water supply (III); Use of surface waters (IV); Penal, transitional and final provisions (V).
