Abstract

This Act has 21 sections and a Schedule, although sections 13-16 have been repealed. Under section 2 an Area Commission is established. The purpose of the Water Commission is to examine and consider all matters relative to supplying the water commission area with an adequate and reliable constant permanent supply of water for the use of its inhabitants (sect. 8). The sections of the Act are set out as follows: 1 Definitions; 2 Power of L.G. in C. to make regulations; 3 Publication of regulations; 4 Regulations re municipalities; 5 Establishment of water commissions; 6 Officers; 7 Employees commission; 8 Purpose of commission; 9 Preparation of schemes; 10 Powers of water commissions; 11 Authorization by Municipal Board; 12 Submission to councils; 13 - 16 Repealed; 17 Ratification of scheme; 18 Approval of scheme by L.G. in C; 19 Conditional agreements; 20 Budget of water commission; and 21 Share of annual revenue.
