Abstract

This Act concerns laying and maintenance of " pipes or other material used for the purpose of the distribution of public water supplies and installations used for storm water drainage or sewerage (water mains). The Minister authorizes the Director of Public Works who has the power to enter upon lands, remove trees and carry out other operations as specified for the purposes of laying mains. The Act also regulates the payment of compensation for damage sustained and declares damage to works to be an offence.
