Abstract

This Chapter of the Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) concerns water resource surveys, projects, and compacts. One of the purposes of the document is to have on file ready and available, such detailed surveys and information as will not only permit, but will tend to induce, the beneficial use of water by private persons, irrigation districts, corporations, or possibly by the state or national government. More specifically, the Chapter provides for survey of water resources; the Willamette River Basin Project; the Rogue River Watershed Project; the OregonCalifornia Goose Lake Interstate Compact; the Columbia River Natural Resources Management Compact; the Klamath River Basin Compact; and watershed protection and flood prevention projects.
