Abstract

This Ordinance applies to coastal and brackish waters which need protection or improvement to enable the life and development of shellfish. The water quality parameters are specified in the Table annexed to the text of the Ordinance. The waters will be considered suitable and will meet the quality objectives of the Ordinance if all water samples will be taken with the frequency specified in the Table at the same sampling areas and for the duration of a twelve months period. The standard identification methods regarding the parameters of water quality are set out in the Table. Other methods of identification may be used provided the results are as accurate as specified in the Table.
