Abstract

Within the framework of the Water and Soil Pollution Control Law of 2002 up to 2008, certain Orders are issued to define the obligatory prescriptions for the management of liquid and solid waste disposal deriving by the various activities of certain industries of foodstuffs and drinks. In the present Order are given the general terms for waste disposal deriving from poultry slaughterhouses. The general terms for waste disposal are determined in the Annex to this Order and shall apply to slaughterhouse installations in which less than 150,000 chickens per year are produced and to which a waste disposal authorization is granted according to the provisions of the basic law.
