The principal Law and the present Law shall be read as one and will be referred to as the Water Pollution Control Laws of 2002 and 2008. The present law, for a better alignment with EC Council Directive 96/61/EC concerning integrated pollution prevention and control, carries forward amendments to article 52 of the basic law.
