Abstract These Regulations, consisting of 18 sections divided into four Parts and completed by one Schedule, provide for the categories of competence and authorisation; relevant competency standards required in relation to the design, construction, maintenance of dams; etc. The Schedule specifies the Guidelines and information to be followed in the sector of water dams issued by the Australian National Committee on Large Dams; and prescribe certain fees, allowances and compensation payable under the Water Management Act 1999.
