Abstract

These Regulations, consisting of 41 sections divided into seven Parts and completed by five Schedules, implement provisions of the Water Industry Act, 2012. The Regulations provide for: licence fees and returns of water industry entities; contents of the register of licences; powers and duties relating to land and infrastructure; protection of water or sewerage infrastructure from trees and shrubs; powers to restrict or discontinue water supply; technical and safety issues; long-term measures for water conservation; permits to engage in the specified use of water; fees; offences; etc.
