Abstract

This Chapter of the Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) concerns water distributors, water releases, conservation and storage, water development projects, and watershed management and enhancement. More specifically, the Chapter provides for water companies; appropriation of water for mining and electric power; appropriation of water by the United States; suits for determination of water rights; district water rights mapping; use of splash dams; Umpqua river dams; water to operate water­raising machinery; release of water from impoundment or diversion structure; water conservation, reuse and storage grants; water supply development projects; water development projects; watershed management and enhancement; watershed conservation grant fund; habitat stewardship agreements; and working lands conservation.
