Abstract

This chapter of South Dakota Codified Laws concerns powers and duties of water development districts. More specifically, it provides for office of district and its employees; group insurance for employees; records required of districts, and public inspection; fiscal year, audit, report, and publication of notice; actions by and against boards of directors; contracting power of boards; insurance authorized; property acquisition and disposition; eminent domain; acceptance of funds, property, and services; designation of legal newspapers; accumulation of capital reserve fund; and federal wildlife mitigation requirements.
