Section 3 sets out the administrative running of the commission such as Membership (sect. 3(1)); Term of office (sect. 3(3)); Remuneration (sect. 3(5)) Quorum (sect. 3(7)) and Hearings (sect. 3(8)). Section 5(1) sets out the role and powers of the commission, which are to study projects, problems, and schemes relating to water. To report and make recommendations to the minister on these matters in order to secure the maximum benefits to the province from the use, allocation, and maximum conservation of water. All moneys required for the purpose of this Act shall be paid out of the Consolidated Fund (sect. 7). Finally section 8 empowers the Lieutenant Governor in Council may make such ancillary regulations as are necessary.
