Abstract

This Chapter of Division 7 of the Water Code of California concerns waste water treatment plant classification and operator certification. The State Water Resources Control Board shall issue a certificate stating that an operator of a wastewater treatment plant or a supervisor who has direct responsibility for the operation of a wastewater treatment plant or who supervises any operators of a wastewater treatment plant or operator has met the requirements for a specific classification in the certification program. Any person or entity that contracts with the owner of a wastewater treatment plant to operate that plant shall register with the Board.
