Abstract

The 63 sections of the Act are divided into 11 Parts, i.e.: Introductions (I); Central Administration (II); Control of Water Resources Use (III); Revisions, Variations, Termination and Diminuition of Licences (IV); Water Pollution Control (V); Water Supply (VI); Sewerage and Sewage Disposal (VII); Licensing of Well-Diggers (VIII); Miscellaneous Powers (IX); Appeals (X); Penalties and Supplementary (XI). In Part II the Act provides for the establishment of a body corporate called the Water Authority. The Governor may, after consultation with the Authority, make regulations relating to matters specified in section 60. (1 Schedule)
