The Authority shall promote the conservation and proper use of the water resources of Montserrat and provide and maintain an adequate supply of pure and wholesome water. The Governor may declare water conservation zones. In such area no person shall in the vicinity of watercourses cultivate land, cut timber or conduct animals or pollute such watercourse. The Act allows land to be acquired under the Land Acquisition Act for purposes of this Act. The Act defines duties of the Authority with respect to water supplies.
