The Minister may establish by regulation a Groundwater Resource Management Plan setting out policies for conservation of groundwater to ensure sustainability of the yield of groundwater for abstraction purposes and to protect the quality of groundwater. Furthermore the Act provides the technical officer with inspection powers and power to make orders. The Minister may make regulations respecting wells and the abstraction of groundwater. The Act also considers elements of liability of directors, officers and agents and provides discipline for Offences and penalties. The Act also makes a general validation of any groundwater abstraction license and permit to drill a well issued by the Government before 27 December 2010. Full text English Website www.gov.ai
