Abstract

This Act establishes under Part 2 that an eligible customer (as defined by section 5 of the Act) of a regulated entity in respect of a dwelling may apply for a concession to be granted in relation to a water service or a sewerage service, or both, provided, or to be provided. The eligible customer when granted the concession is entitled to have the amount, for a billing period, of a relevant fixed charge that the customer is liable to pay to the entity in respect of a specific dwelling reduced by the concession amount for the billing period. The Part continues clarifying the billing period in which concession begins and ends, the rate, notices and offences. Part 3 concerns reimbursement by State of regulated entities.
