Entry into force notes
This Act enters into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent, except for Part 3 (other than section 41) and section 62 which enter into force on 1 July 2009.
Abstract

The purpose of this Act is to encourage a reduction in the amount of waste generated and a decrease in waste disposal in order to protect the environment.
