Abstract

The present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the control of grape phylloxera. Article 1 establishes that the suspicion of vine pest has to be notified at once to the competent authority. Once the disease is ascertained around the infected area a protected zone has to be declared. The text – consisting of 8 articles – deals with the following aspects: duty to notify, duty to control vine pest, marketing of vine planting material, limitation of cultivation of vines, rights of Lander, entry into force and penalties.
