In principle they prohibit the keeping of any animal within a village but this shall not apply to any animals secured for a specified period before slaughtering at the village Slaughter House yard or brought into the village for agricultural shows or for any other agricultural purpose with the written permission of the Chairperson of the Village Council. The Regulations prescribe penalties for offences and require offenders to remove animals from the village.
