Abstract

The Act contains at the outset a definition clause relating to the various terms therein employed, such as "wine growing region", "winegrower", etc. Part 2 prescribes that all wine growing regions and wine growers have to be registered by the Town Council (Magistrat) of Vienna according to certain criteria. Wine growers may only plant vine varieties admitted by the EU-guidelines. The Town Council of Vienna is responsible for the enforcement of this Act. Finally, Part 8 establishes the penalties in case of violation, and other provisions. The Act consists of 18 articles.
