The present Act enters into force on 1 January 1948.
Abstract

A basic Act regulating hunting activities in Vienna and its surrounding area. Article 1 establishes that hunting is an essential part of the Austrian economy and tradition and is based on the hunting law whereby hunting is allowed in special hunting grounds where animals can be hunt, caught, killed and appropriated by hunters. Thereafter the text deals with huntable species, personal hunting rights and communal hunting rights, hunting areas, zoos, hunting periods, hunting permits, hunting gear, hunting committees, hunting inspectors, sale of game, etc. The text consists of 134 articles.
