The Council, which shall be a body corporate, shall be charged with, among other things: (a) determining qualification requirements for registration as a veterinary surgeon under this Act; (b) securing the establishment and maintenance of a register of persons registered under this Act as veterinary surgeons. The Minister may give directions to the Council. The Act also defines penalties for unprofessional conduct.
