This Veterinary Regulation enters into force on 1 November 2002.
Abstract

This Veterinary Regulation establishes the modalities for radiation control of livestock, raw meat and products of animal origin to screen for cattle muscular tissue that contains excessive levels of caesium-137 and strontium-90. Examinations must take into consideration radiation levels in the place of origin and shall either cover entire lots or selected samples. The Regulation contains the formulation for calculating compliance with established radiation safety requirements.
