The present Ordinance enters into force on 1 January 2012.
Abstract

The present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the implementation of veterinary legislation. Article 3 establishes that the Executive Council shall exercise supervision over the enforcement of federal and cantonal veterinary legislation. The text consists of 47 articles divided into 10 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Organization and competence (II); Animal disease (III); Food safety (IV); Animal protection (V); Animal health profession (VI); Veterinary drugs (VII); Financing (VIII); Procedures, legal aid and penalties (IX); Transitional and final provisions (X).
