The present Ordinance enters into force on 1 May 1972.
Abstract

The purpose of the present Law is, inter alia, to implement and complete the federal legislation both on prevention and fight against animal pest; and animal trade; meat hygiene and the disposal of animal waste. The text consists of 27 articles divided into 6 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Veterinaries (II); Fight against animal disease, trade in animals, meat hygiene and disposal of animal waste, additional cantonal provisions (III); Animal protection (IV); Legal protection and penalties (V); Final provisions (VI).
