Abstract

This Veterinary Instruction stipulates that brucellosis shall be diagnosed on the basis of bacteriological, serologic, molecular-genetic and allergenic research with the consideration of epizootic data and clinical characteristics of disease following the guidelines of sanitary and veterinary regulations for the prevention of infectious diseases common to human beings and animals. The Instruction applies to cattle, sheep and swine. Diagnosis of brucellosis shall be based on laboratory testing and allergenic examination of swine on farms. The period of bacteriological examination shall be up to one month and of biological examination up to two months. The Instruction contains testing and examination schemes and methods for interpreting results.
