Abstract

The Ordinance defines at the outset its scope of application. Article 2 contains a definition clause relating to various terms therein employed, such as "veterinary", "animals", "import", "export", "third country", "custom control", etc. Part 2 deals with the trade of animals, animal parts and products and objects with third countries; also, it deals with issues such as, general and special provisions for import and export, veterinary border control, etc. Part 3 deals with the same subject, however in relation to EC countries. Finally, Part 4 deals with final provisions. The Ordinance consists of 57 articles divided into 4 Parts and 18 Annexes.
