Abstract

These Regulations are framed by the Veterinary Council of India (Council) in exercise of the powers conferred by the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 (Act) and provide for the minimum standards for veterinary education in India. It consists of seven parts: I. Preliminary; II. Course of Study; III. Admission to the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry Degree Course; IV. Veterinary Curriculum – Structuring and Organization of Course Curriculum; V. Courses and Course Contents; VI. Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education; and VII. Grading Scheme for Veterinary Colleges.
