Abstract These Regulations are made by the Veterinary Council of India in exercise of the powers conferred by section 66 read with section 19 and section 20 of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 (the Act). The Regulations provide for appointment of inspectors, as referred to in section 19 of the Act, to inspect any Veterinary College, hospital or other institution where veterinary education is given. It also lays down the duties of the inspectors and the procedure for carrying out inspection. The Regulations also make provisions for appointment and duties of visitors to inspect any veterinary college, hospital or other institution as referred to in section 20 of the Act.
