Abstract

Sheep or goat hair obtained from healthy animals on farms officially free of infectious animal disease and produced by enterprises authorized for export by the relevant state veterinary service shall be authorized for import into the Russian Federation. Raw materials of animal origin must come from farms and administrative territories free of infectious animal disease, including Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE), African swine fever, African horse fever, foot-and-mouth disease, brucellosis and anthrax. Imported unwashed sheep or goat hair shall be subject to compulsory washing and disinfection at authorized enterprises. Packaging used to transport sheep or goat hair shall be burned after unpacking.
