Abstract

Milk and dairy products are admitted to the territory of the Russian Federation on condition that they come from healthy animals from infectious animal disease free farms and has been produced at the milk processing and packing factories authorized for export delivery of goods by the central state veterinary institution of the exporting country that exercises permanent supervision over their activity. Milk and dairy products are admitted to the territory of the Russian Federation on condition that they derive from animals that have not been fed by feedstuffs with the use of genetically modified additives or other genetically modified sources. Milk used for the manufacturing of dairy products must pass thermal treatment sufficient for extermination of pathogenic microorganisms dangerous for human health. Dairy products destined for export must be processed in such a way as to guarantee the absence of viable pathogenic flora. Dairy products must be certified as suitable for public feeding and free trade without any restriction. Microbiological, chemical and toxicological as well as radiological indices of milk and dairy products must comply with veterinary and sanitary requirements and regulations currently in force in the Russian Federation. Milk and dairy products with adulterated organic indices or damaged package are not admitted to the territory of the Russian Federation. Package and packing material must be disposable and comply with sanitary requirements. The compliance with these Veterinary and sanitary requirements must be certified by veterinary certificate, signed by the state veterinary inspector of the exporting country and composed in the language of the country of origin and in Russian. Dispatch of aquatic products to the Russian Federation is possible only after the authorization issued to the importer by Veterinary Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
