Apiaries and beeyards shall be located in localities free of quarantine diseases on drylands rich in melliferous plants, protected from cold winters, at a distance no less that 500 metres from roads and railways, and at a distance of no less than 5 kilometres from confectionary and chemical industries. Each apiary or beeyard shall contain no more than 150 bee families. Each apiary and beeyard shall have veterinary and sanitary certificate.
