Abstract

This Ordinance establishes a Utilities Regulatory Authority and defines its functions and powers. It also provides for the licensing of utility providers. The objective of the Authority is to regulate the development and provision of public utility services as prescribed. “Public utility services” means — (a) the generation, distribution or supply of electricity; (b) the collection, storage, treatment and distribution of water; and (c) the disposal of waste water.
