Abstract

These Rules implement provisions of the Utilities Appeal Tribunal Act in respect of, among other things: functioning and proceedings of the Utilities Appeal Tribunal; appeals from the Tribunal; judgement of the Tribunal; settlement of proceedings; powers and functions of the Registrar of the Tribunal. The overriding objective of these Rules is to enable the Tribunal to deal with cases fairly and justly. The Tribunal may regulate its own procedures. If all the parties agree the terms on which to settle all or any part of the proceedings, they may request the Tribunal to make a consent order. The Tribunal may make an order on an interim basis.
