In particular, the purpose of the Ordinance is to transpose into German law the Council Directive 91/271/EEC of 1 May 1991 concerning urban waste water treatment of 21 May 1991. The Ordinance concerns the collection, treatment and emission of local waste water and the treatment and discharge of waste waters from certain industries.
