Abstract The present Ordinance introduces a waste management plan for the whole Land of Upper Austria. It lays down provisions relating to the stock, collection, transportation and treatment of non hazardous waste. Inter alia, it aims to reduce the annual total amount of waste and its content of harmful substances (quantitative and qualitative waste prevention). Waste treatment shall be carried out with a view to reduce harmful emissions. Principles of waste treatment are contained in article 6. The text consists of 16 articles.
