The present Law enters into force on 1 September 1983.
Abstract

The present Law lays down provisions relating to the keeping of bees in Upper Austria. The purpose of the present Law is to regulate the keeping and breeding of bees including their migration. Apiculture is a part of agriculture and everybody is allowed to practice it. The text consists of 19 articles divided into 7 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Bee keeping (II); Migration of bees (III); Apiculture (IV); Provisions on proceedings by local authorities (V); Penalties (VI); Final provisions (VII).
