Abstract

The purpose of the present Law is to: 1) secure the stock and development of agriculture and forestry and to enable them to fulfill their tasks with a view to the well-being of society; 2) to conserve and develop further a well-functioning and efficient agriculture and forestry in a well-structured rural space; 3) help families and persons working in the sector to enjoy a decent life; 4) ensure the best possible supply of high-quality agricultural commodities and products ;5) make the agricultural production, processing and marketing more competitive; 6) increase the agricultural and forestry production by means of further structural measures with a view to an environmental-friendly, socially oriented rural agriculture and forestry; 7) keep up the infrastructure by means of an environment-friendly agriculture in such a way to secure the quality of natural living basis, such as soil, water and ambient air; 8) conserve the cultural and recreational areas with a view to promote its maintenance; 9) promote an efficient waste management and waste disposal; 10) promote the development of rural agglomerations with a view to increase the efficiency of the whole area. The text consists of 15 articles divided into 5 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Different sorts of promotions and promotion guidelines (II); Promotion areas (III); Agricultural reports and Agricultural Commission (IV); Transitional and final provisions (V).
