Where the provisions of the Paris Agreement referring to or intended for the Developed Country Parties, Papua New Guinea shall not be bound by those provisions. The Climate Change and Development Authority established under the Climate Change (Management) Act 2015 shall implement this Act. Regulations may make provision for the internationally recognised and accepted fiduciary standards or rules for accessing administrative and financial assistance from any country or entity for the purposes of implementing or giving effect to the provisions of the UNFCCC and Paris Agreement and for related purposes. All punitive actions or proceedings for the breach or contravention of any provision of this Act shall be implemented in accordance with the provisions of Climate Change (Management) Act 2015.
